Bulambuli district woman Member of Parliament and former Minister of Energy and Mineral Development, Hon Irene Muloni has been dealt another tragedy, as she lost her grandson in a car accident just hours after burying her husband.
Sammy Muloni was killed in a car crash this Monday morning as he was driving back from Bulambuli district from the burial of his grandfather, Felix Muloni.
Felix, the husband of the former Minister passed away last week on Tuesday August 22.
The couple had been married for the past 35 years.
Sammy joined other family members for the burial yesterday, Sunday, August 27, in Buyaga Village in Bulambuli district.
According to reports, he was the one who gave the speech on behalf of the grandchildren at the funeral service.
But on his way back to Kampala, his vehicle, a Toyota Sienta registration number UBL 739Y overturned in Kamonkoli, killing him on the spot.
The cause of the accident was yet to be confirmed as Police had not yet release a statement by Monday afternoon.
The body of the deceased was commuted to Mbale City Mortuary for postmortem.
