A student at Uganda’s leading university has been arrested by police on allegations of faking his own kidnap to extort 5 million ransom from his loving innocent friends. The 23 year old identified by her real name Jane Francis residing in Wakiso district Nansana Municipality village Nsumbi currently is held by police at Nansana.
According to friends Jane went missing on Saturday from her parents home and they started receiving messages from the alleged abducts , claiming to have her hostage.
The relatives immediately rushed to police to file a missing person report at Nansana police station on file number SD : 73/25/08/2018. The investigation units at police started following any possible lead to trace her where about.
Nampijja was found at her rented place Known as Mark Cottage’s. She was immediately arrested and charged with false kidnap and intention of extorting money . According to her , she was to use that money to plan a grand outing for her friends and family.
