Popular Ugandan musician Eddy Kenzo has joined other hit makers in the country to produce song expressing their solidarity with detained Kyadondo East member of parliament Bobi Wine whose real name is Robert Kyagulanyi Ssemtamu. Bobi Wine is currently arrested on charges of treason following the chaos in Arua town which resulted in smashing of president Yoweri Kaguta Museni convoy with stones. The Sitya loss hit maker has joined the league of Chameleon brother Pallaso and Nandujja to produce new hit known as Biwoobe/Mbakoonye.
In the hit Kenzo blames current political challenges in the country on members of parliament whom he termed as floppy and idiots. He furthers said that the current parliament is responsible for current political crisis due to continuous bad laws passed by legislators. He also attributed the suffering of Ugandans on greed and corruption of the current political leaders in the country. He wondered if those who died in Luwero jungle are still heroes or villain.
Kenzo did not spare the voters either by accusing them of accepting to be bribed with small things to keep voting wrong people to Parliament. He asked the country to turn to God and seek spiritual divine as it is the only remaining hope.
He brushed off current political leaders, who hired him for their rallies in 2011 when his song titled “stamina” was talk of everyone in the country and in 2016, that “mbakooye” which means I’m tired of you.
He told politicians that the country is fed up of them because they serve their stomach rather than the population who votes them into the office. He predicts doom for relatives and tribe mates of those politicians once the current regime falls because the country is angry at how they are looting the resources with impunity.
He asked God to punish the current political leaders for bringing policies that marginalize majority of the population in the country including the young and old, the deaf, the blind and the disabled. Kenzo also warned the politicians against accumulation of illegal wealth at the expense of the local population who live on less than a meal in a day.
