Hotel owner reveal details on Bobi Wine guns, accuses security of theft

The director of Pacific Hotel Arua where Kyadondo East member of parliament and 25 others were arrested has come out to comment on the event surrounding the arrests of the legislators and other guests from his hotel. Speaking to the reporters Mr. Candia Luiji denied the allegation that entered his hotel with weapons. He also refuted the claim that detectives recovered any gun from the facility during the hotel such.

In a shocking revelation, Mr Candia says the operatives stole Bobi Wine valuables and money totaling to 80m Uganda Shillings. “These people did not get any gun here. They should be ashamed to tell lies to the public that they got guns. If they got the guns from somewhere, they should tell the public instead of blaming our hotel,” Mr Luiji said on Wednesday evening.

He also accused the security operatives of breaking 22 doors of the hotel rooms, beating and inflicting pains on his staff.

I will file for damages of the property and also what the guests lost. My lawyer is drafting the suit against the security forces,” he explained. Bobi Wine is expected to be charged today in Gulu military court martial with treason an offense which attract a maximum of death penalty on conviction.
