Man In Katwe Commits Suicide After Killing His Ex-Girlfriend Who Ate His Money And Then Dumped Him.

The territorial Police at Katwe and Kajjansi are actively investigating two separate incidents of murder and a suicide. One of the incidents of death by suicide  occurred in Ndikutamadda LC1, Masajja Division, Makindye-Ssabagabo municipality, Wakiso District.

It is alleged that, on May 27, 2023, at approximately 6:00 AM, the lifeless body of Mr. Ssemwanga Experito, a 25-year-old boda boda rider and resident of Ndikutamadda LC1, was discovered hanging from a rope in a house under construction. Mr. Ssemwanga was originally from Rwabitakuli village in Sembabule District.

Preliminary investigations suggest that Mr. Ssemwanga had earlier been involved in a tragic incident of Murder at approximately 4:00 AM, wherein he allegedly stabbed his ex-wife, Ms. Mbabazi Grace, to death at her rented residence in Kajansi along the Kampala-Entebbe Highway. The police at Kajansi  are actively investigating this separate incident, and further details will be provided as the investigation progresses.

The Kikajjo Police Station promptly responded to the scene of the crime and conducted an initial examination of the scene. Statements have been obtained from several witnesses to assist with the ongoing investigation.

Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson confirmed the incidents.

According to Luke Owoyesigyire, the bodies of both Mr. Ssemwanga and Mbabazi Grace have  been transported to the City Mortuary, where a post mortem examination will be conducted to establish the cause of death.

“The Police at Katwe and Kajansi are  committed to conducting a thorough and impartial investigation into both incidents, working closely with relevant authorities . We urge members of the public to remain calm and allow the investigative process to unfold. Any individuals with additional information related to these incidents are encouraged to come forward and cooperate with the authorities,” Owoyesigyire said in a statement Saturday.
