While signed on to Black Magic, he managed to make it to the top but in 2020, he called it quits due to money-related issues. According to the singer, he was being given a small percentage of the money he was working for and it was draining him every day. As a man, he deserved better because he has his personal needs.
After quitting Black Magic, he revealed that things were hard for him but he had peace of mind. He first backed down from releasing music and got a team first to help out with everything.
In an interview with local television, John Blaq said he doesn’t regret leaving his former management. He said he is now doing better than he did and he likes the life he is now of releasing music without any pressure or worried about anything.
“I would be a fool to go back to my former management. I can’t lie they helped me get to the top of my career. However, behind the scenes, no one knew what I was going through. The Guys were draining me. I wasn’t gaining anything in my career but ever since I left I have had peace of mind. I see things going forward from my perspective,” he said.
