Phionah Nabitengero alias Fifi Da Queen has on Monday 26th threatened to sue her former pay masters, Vision Group gor defamation. She has asked the latter to compensate her 1 billion Ugandan shillings with an apology or else face the courts of law.
Through her lawyers Mwesigwa Rukutana & Co. Advocates, the celebrated journalist, business lady and mother accuses Vision Group through its Bukedde Luganda newspaper of publicising false, malicious and highly defamatory statements against her.
With headlines; “Bakutte Fifi Da Queen Ku by’okubba and “Ebya Sipapa bikwasiza Fifi,” the former ‘Kanayokya ani’ Bukedde TV host claims to have been falsely to accused to be an accomplice to socialite Sipapa’s robbery allegations which the latter claims to be false with no head or legs on them.
Fifi claims the impugned publications carried content that is malicious, false and defamatory to her reputation, a situation that has tarnished her image in family members, relatives, friends, in-laws, business partners and international community as well.
She has henceforth demanded Vision Group to offer her an equivocal apology on the front page of Bukedde newspaper, in the same size and colour as the statements complained about with a compensation of I billion Uganda shillings and 50 million shillings as legal fees.
She has given Vision Group 3 days to react accordingly or else she is more than ready to institute civil and criminal proceedings against her former paymasters.
