EZO MOME! I am still the president and I Will Continue Discharging My Duties As President Of DP –  Minister Mao Responds To DP Bloc Sacking…

Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs and President of Democratic Party (DP), Nobert Mao has insisted that he will continue going about his duties as the party boss. Mao was responding to a section of DP bloc members led by Lubega Mukaku who announced that they had sacked him.

Mukaku told the press that they have thrown Mao out of Bloc and they will ask DP members preparing to nominate a replacement. Mao, however after being vetted and approved today, vowed to continue discharging his duties as the president of the Democratic Party.

Speaking to journalists at Parliament, he revealed, “I have heard voices asking me to step aside but I think the reason is not cooperation agreement but would for instance have been that I am too busy. I would have listened to it because it would be reasonable.”

He noted further that the venomous outbursts he has heard show that many of their members have not yet internalized the implications of this cooperation agreement.

“The constitution of DP and the cooperation agreement are not mutually exclusive. It is important that DP has a leadership which is committed to those issues. I will continue discharging my duties as the President for the Democratic party.”

Mao, even went to his Twitter and expressed his confidence towards his new role by quoting scripture in Psalm 46:1-3, which says, “Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives away, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling.”
