Naguru Summit-based NBS TV has again raided NTV, this time around poached Sports scribe, Andrew Kabuura and his Press Box team.
On Monday, Sports program, ‘NTV Press Box’ closed shop following for years of service. Andrew Kabuura started NTV Press Box with Mark Ssali, Andrew Mwanguhya and Joel Khamadi.
To our great audience, Four years with you doing #NtvPressbox on NTV Uganda has been a thrilling experience. We’ve loved every bit. Thank you to NTV and our great viewers for always watching and following the show. See you soon.
As it has become a norm for NBS TV to poach top talents from NTV, our snoops intimated to us that CEO Kin Karisa approached Kabuura, tabled fat offer and asked him not to renew contract with the Serena-based station.
Yesterday, Kabuura was spotted at NBS TV and managed to take tour of the station. Kin Karisa Twitted Kabuura’s photo with an exclamation mark.
As it stands, it’s a done deal and we hear Andrew Kabuura will move with his entire Press Box team.
Over the years, NBS TV has raided NTV of talents; Douglas Lwanga, MC Kats, Raymond Mujuni (who later returned to Serena), Hatmah Nalugwa Ssekaaya, Zahara Toto, and Anatalie Ozzie, among others, already crossed sides.
Andrew Kabuura and his Press Box team departure comes days after renowned ‘Akawungeezi’ news reader, Frank Walusimbi quit NTV after 15 years of dedicated service.
