Sensational Ugandan singer Idris Musuuza popularly known as Eddy Kenzo has won the Best Male Artiste of the year in East Africa at the 2021 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).
His current hit dubbed ‘Weekend’ was enough for him to sign in the West Africa country. That red carpet event took place on Sunday and Monday morning (East African Time) at Eko Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria. After winning this award again, Kenzo proves that he is undoubtedly one of the most talented musicians on the African continent.
To win the Award, Kenzo beats other East African music icons including Tanzanians Diamond Platnumz, Harmonize and Ali Kiba, Rwanda’s music goat Meddy and The Ben, Khaligraph Jones, and Otile Brown from Kenya and Ethiopia star Gildo Kassa to take the award home.
AFRIMA is a combined effort by music professionals across the continent aimed at celebrating the rich musical heritage of the African continent.
