There has been an eternal war between two feuding factions in the gospel music industry. The war of words has been between gospel singers Wisdom Kaye and Lanek.
Lanek is the recognised president for the gospel artistes while Kaye also claims the same seat.
The two have been fighting in the open, as seen during the Gulu saga after Lanek dressed in sackcloth and invaded Gulu to plead with General Saleh to bail out struggling gospel artistes. During a live show on NBS TV, Lanek and Wisdom Kaye almost clashed on air, with Kaye hurling several insults at Lanek.
It is believed that when the show went into a commercial break, Kaye attacked Lanek and kicked him in the belly, prompting Lanek to report the matter to the police and after headed to the hospital for treatment.
However, Hon Belyeku has Intervened and mediated a reconciliation mission between the two. Now, Kaye has swallowed his pride and extended an olive branch to Lanek, begging for forgiveness.
After receiving Lanek’s forgiveness, Kaye indicated that he apologised for the purposes of fulfilling God’s commands.
“Love is the greatest commandment in the bible, even on the cross Jesus forgave,” said Kaye.
