Goodlyfe singer Douglas Mayanja alias Weasel may be a wanted man but he still has big plans. The singer wants to make a dramatic turn from volatile livewire famed for music and a demon of fighting and causing trouble to one that advocates for the welfare of his people and legislation.
The “Nakudata” singer has now indicated that he intends to throw his hat in the ring of politics for a parliamentary seat come 2026.
His elder brother Jose Chameleone’s crushing defeat loss in the 2021 Lord Mayoral elections don’t seem to have deterred him much.
Weasel has now revealed that he intends to contest for Member of Parliament in his home district of Mityana.
While commenting on Former presidential candidate Dr. Kiiza Besigye’s Facebook post, Weasel made the surprising revelation.
“When I come back, we should meet for a cup of tea comrade…I’m thinking of joining serious politics next year. MP to be Mityana district.” He said.
Other than music, Weasel is also known for his endless fights which netizens believe will limit him from becoming a leader.
Currently, the “Wiggle Wiggle” singer is being hunted by police for thumping his house boy named Cyrus Kawesi leaving him nursing a broken limb.
