Covid relief fund- each vulnerable person to get 100,000 relief money

After a meeting that was held between the prime minister Robina Nabbanja and the covid 19 task force, a resolution was reached that instead of food distribution as it was in the past, each vulnerable person will receive 100,000 ugx to cater for thier needs during the 42 days of lock down.

After the president announcing a second  lock down, many people were crying out to government for support of which their demand was met.

Unlike in the past where 59 billion ugx was disbursed to cater for buying of food and distribution, this time round 53 billion ugx will be used coming from a supplementary budget expenditure to be tabled by parliament although cabinet will delay due to parliament being closed temporarily due to covid19

The money will be sent to those in Kampala, Hoima, Mbarara, Fortpartal, Lira, Gulu, Arua, Masaka, Jinja, Soroti, Mbale and the 41 municipalities across the country.
